Gretchen is the forager and the maker of Calu. She's a self-proclaimed goblin, working on many projects at once and embracing the mess of foraging life. She's a fiber artist, specializing in processing the fiber from Calu's Beasties and a variety of rug making styles.

 Princess Buttercup is the Livestock Guardian Dog of Calu. She's a mix of Anatolian, Pyrenees, Akbash, and Kangol. She makes her rounds and woofs away all the things that would like to eat at our homestead. Protecting the goats, ducks, and chickens is hard work, so she spends most of her time sleeping on or under the porch.
